Simon Claassen obtained the title of Master in Audiovisual and Visual Arts (Department of Film / Fiction) in 2010 at the then Sint Lukas Brussels University College of Art and Design (now LUCA School of Arts) with his short film Schemering (Dusk). In 2003 he founded Lost Woods Films together with fellow student Paul Caspers, where they made productions that were screened at home and abroad.

Simon Claassen behaalde in 2010 de titel Master in de Audiovisuele en Beeldende Kunsten (afdeling Film/Fictie) aan de toenmalige Sint Lukas Brussels University College of Art and Design (nu LUCA School of Arts) met zijn eindwerk Schemering (Dusk). In 2003 richtte hij samen met studiegenoot Paul Caspers Lost Woods Films op waar zij op gepaste wijze producties maakten die in binnen en buitenland werden vertoond.
